This handwoven northwest Persian Karaché runner dates to the mid-20th century and features a traditional village design characteristic of the region. The piece displays a series of geometric medallions arranged along a warm terracotta field, accented by stylized botanical and tribal motifs. Framed by multiple guard borders and a prominent main border with repeating geometric elements, the runner exhibits the earthy palette and crisp, angular drawing typical of Karaché weaving. Woven on a durable wool foundation with a soft wool pile, it reflects the craftsmanship and aesthetic sensibilities of northwestern Iran’s rural weaving tradition. Its elongated format and harmonious composition make it well suited for hallways, entryways, or gallery-style interiors.
