This is a circa 1900 Persian Tabriz carpet, woven in the classical tradition and distinguished by its beautiful Safavid-inspired design. The composition features an elaborate multi-lobed central medallion surrounded by sweeping arabesques, palmettes, and densely interlaced floral motifs—hallmarks of the Safavid aesthetic revived by Tabriz master weavers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

What makes this example particularly noteworthy is its unusual and highly decorative color combination: a striking blend of soft rose, coral, pistachio green, teal, cream, and deep indigo accents. This uncommon palette contributes to a luminous, painterly effect that enhances the intricacy of the detailed drawing.

The carpet is framed by a robust border system incorporating stylized palmettes, serrated leaves, and floral cartouches, all executed with excellent craftsmanship and balanced proportions. The refined weaving quality, elegant Safavid-influenced design, and rare coloration make this an exceptional and collectible Tabriz piece from the turn of the 20th century.
