This contemporary Sultanabad rug is handwoven in the same historic weaving region and executed to the same high standards as the renowned Ziegler carpets produced for the Western market between circa 1880 and 1920. Using traditional methods, hand-spun wool, and natural vegetable dyes, it reflects the enduring craftsmanship of late 19th-century Sultanabad production.

The design exemplifies the classic Sultanabad style, featuring a generous, open field with well-spaced botanical motifs arranged in calm, symmetrical balance. The palette is refined and softly aged, with a warm golden-beige ground complemented by pale steel and slate blues, muted stone and taupe, and subtle accents of soft rust, ivory, and charcoal. The border, rendered in cool blue-grey tones, frames the composition with quiet elegance. Natural abrash throughout the rug adds depth, movement, and an authentic, time-worn character.

Although newly made, this rug faithfully captures the aesthetic, texture, and timeless appeal of antique Ziegler Sultanabads, making it an excellent choice for both classic and contemporary interiors seeking understated elegance, authenticity, and longevity.
